Madz + Quincy // Kenosha Pass - Colorado Engagement Photographer

The frequently-talked about Kenosha Pass eluded me for a really long time. I always heard (and saw) that it was a must-see when fall came around because of the absolute beauty in the color changes within the trees. It’s talked about so frequently and with such gusto that one might think it’s impossible to live up to the hype. So, did it disappoint during our session?

…. Absolutely not.

We arrived for our Kenosha Pass couples session in the evening with the expectation that we would be there until sunset. There was a perfect blend of greens, yellows, and oranges throughout our hike (which is a pretty easy hike by the way). It’s the perfect place to just experience nature, enjoy human connection (no cell service) and photograph the love between a couple.

I wanted to experiment a bit with few camera techniques, and these guys were all for it. You’ll find a few photos in here utilizing prism photography and shutter drags/long exposures. This is evident in the photos where there is ‘blur’ or motion seen in the image. These techniques help illicit a more moody or surreal feeling to the photos, something I love to include in every session.

Prepare your thumb, because I know you won’t be able to stop scrolling as you browse this gallery. As always, if you’re here I appreciate you stopping by to view my work. If you like what you see and want to book a session contact me directly at cam@cameronmartinez.com or fill out my contact form here.

Have a fantastic day.

As always, here is my gear list for the curious.
